Connecting your social media accounts to Bibby is a crucial step that unlocks the full power of AI-driven social media automation. Once connected, you'll be able to create, schedule, and publish content across all your platforms from a single dashboard.

1Access the Channels Section

To begin connecting your social media accounts, you'll need to navigate to the Channels section in your Bibby dashboard.

Log in to your Bibby dashboard

Look for the "Channels" section in the left sidebar

Click the Plus (+) icon next to "Channels"

Add New Channel

Click the Plus icon in the Channels sidebar to get started

2Select and Authenticate Your Platform

After clicking the Plus icon, a popup window will appear showing all available social media platforms. here's how to connect each one:

Choose your platform

From the popup, select the social media platform you want to connect (e.g., Facebook or Instagram)

Authenticate your account

you'll be redirected to the platform's login page. Enter your credentials and authorize Bibby to access your account

Grant permissions

Review and approve the permissions Bibby needs to create and publish content on your behalf

Confirm connection

Once authenticated, you'll be redirected back to Bibby and your account will appear in the Channels list

Note for Instagram: You must have an Instagram Business or Creator account to connect with Bibby. Personal Instagram accounts cannot be used for third-party scheduling tools.

3View Your Channel Details

Once your social media account is connected, you can view detailed information and metrics about each channel directly from your Bibby dashboard.

What you'll see for each channel:

Follower Count

Current number of followers or fans on your account

Total Posts

Number of posts published on your account

Engagement Rate

Average engagement across your recent posts

Reach & Impressions

How many people are seeing your content

To access these metrics, simply click on any channel name in your Channels sidebar. The channel details page will display comprehensive analytics and performance data.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

Having trouble connecting your accounts? Here are some common issues and solutions:

Connection failed or timed out

Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then attempt the connection again. Make sure you're using a supported browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge).

"Permission denied" error

Ensure you're granting all necessary permissions during the authentication process. Bibby requires posting permissions to publish content on your behalf.

Channel limit reached

If you've reached your plan's channel limit, you'll need to either disconnect an existing channel or upgrade to a higher plan. Visit the pricing page to see available options.

Instagram account not showing up

Make sure your Instagram account is converted to a Business or Creator account. Personal accounts cannot be connected to third-party scheduling tools due to Instagram's API limitations.
